Investment Analyst (posting date February 1, 2012)
Position Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities for the Investment Analyst will include the following:
- Performs due diligence on outside managers which includes creation of reports related to investment management firms, their investment process, investment discipline, background of key personnel, ability to produce original research, and performance measurement;
- Responsible for the timely development and completion of responses to outside due diligence requests;
- Serves as a member of the Investment Committee and a part of the investment decision making process;
- Analyzes market and economic indicators and the holdings in the McCabe Capital portfolios;
- Prepares asset allocation utilizing software such as Monte Carlo simulation and performance reports and contributes to the asset allocation selection process;
- Places trades across all asset classes to implement core/blend strategies and their rebalancing in client accounts;
- Provides oversight and guidance to the Operations Associate for the daily operational work; and
- Provides oversight and monitoring of investment analysis, portfolio holdings, performance, and other related investment activity for the Company.
Educational and Professional Qualifications:
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in finance or business related field is required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working for a Registered Investment Advisor in the investment management business.
- Must be highly experienced in using Advent’s APX portfolio accounting system and Zephyr Style Advisor software.
- Experienced being able to service multiple client accounts in a timely, accurate and professional manner is of major importance.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Must be skilled at dealing with clients via the telephone and projecting the right kind of “customer satisfaction” image that clients would come to expect from a firm like McCabe Capital Managers.
- Must have extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office computer products including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
